Collard returns to karting in a SODI kart

Press Release by:

Driver emeritus in karting and automobiles, Emmanuel Collard has built an impressive track record in a twenty-year career, including a World Championship in Formula A in 1988, a number of victories in the 24 Hours of Daytona and Spa, a 2nd place in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, not to mention the status of test driver in Formula 1.

He left the world of karting for several years due to a busy schedule, but has recently rediscovered a taste for the sport after his participation in the 6 hour Monaco Kart Cup and the 2 x 200 km of Angerville Euro Endurance.
Collard (above in the center of the photo alongside Henri Pescarolo) also hopes to resume competing at the wheel of a KZ kart in sprints, which is why he has started training in a Sodi ST32 BV.

He wore the colors of Sodi last weekend at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Manu had gotten off to a great start at the wheel of the Pescarolo shared with Christophe Tinseau and Julien Jousse, but unfortunately he was foiled by the sudden arrival of rain as he entered the Porsche curve. A cruel twist of fate, as he was set to finish just behind Audi and Peugeot.
