THE FINAL ROUND OF THE 2012 WSK MASTER SERIES WAS RACED ON THE 7 LAGHI TRACK IN CASTELLETTO DI BRANDUZZO (PAVIA, ITALY).
PRAGA KART WAS PRESENT WITH 5 DRIVERS BETWEEN KZ1, KZ2 AND KF2 AND WENT HOME WITH GOOD RESULTS.
In KZ1 there are Patrick Hajek and Bas Lammers. On Saturday the two go wheel to wheel. In the heats Lammers is fastest (6th absolute), but Hajek is great in Final 1 and closes 4th, a step from the podium (10th after the heats). Lammers is glued behind him. Praga Kart equipment improves with every race and on Sunday the two lead again. Lammers starts Final 2 in 4th place (3rd and 5th in the heats), but a contact forces him to stop: despite this, he makes top 10 (8th) in the final rankings. In Sunday’s qualifying Hajek ends right behind Lammers: 5th overall (6th, 3rd) and, despite a few contacts, in Final 2 he “defends” 9th place , which means 12th in the championship. Without the few blows of bad luck throughout the series, the two Praga drivers would have collected much more.
In KZ2 Martin Doubek is constant: 10th after the heats, he confirms the result also in Final 1. On Sunday he is again 10th after the heats and in Final 2 closes 12th. Praga Kart is also present in KF2 with Karol Dabski and Libor Toman. The first “pays” for one too many contacts and fails to qualify for the finals. Toman, instead, is very fast: 5th, 8th, 9th and 9th place mean 14th at the start of Prefinal, where he ends 15th. In the Final he does great, all the way to 11th: a steady growth that bids well for the future.
