New facility working with PSL Karting and CRG factory to provide rides in 2012 chassis models on April 12

AVONDALE, LA (April 3, 2012) – The latest state-of-the-art motorsports complexes to open in North America is the NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, LA - just minutes from Bourbon Street in downtown New Orleans. Now featuring a 2.75-mile road course, the multi-purpose facility housed the newest karting track in the industry. Opened in late 2011, the complex offers 40 different configurations to provide any type of challenge karters are looking for. Its first official regional karting event will be hosting the opening rounds of the new Southeast Karting Challenge on April 13-15. To kick off the anticipated event, NOLA will be hosting a ‘CRG Factory Support Day’ on Thursday, April 12.

As part of the opening round festivities from SEKC, NOLA Motorsports Park is partnering with CRG and its number one world-wide distributor for 2010 - PSL Karting of Quebec, Canada, Karters will have the opportunity to sample the full line of CRG chassis models: Big Al, Black Star, KT-1, Road Rebel, and the Dark Rider Evo 2, all powered by Rotax engines while taking in feedback from CRG factory engine and chassis mechanics on hand. Factory drivers will also be available for Q&A and on track coaching. Those already driving a CRG kart are encouraged to bring their own kart and have the CRG team work with you to help shave off those few tenths before the weekend starts.

Garett Potter, Director of Kart Operations at NOLA commented, “This is going to be an exciting week for us to say the least. We have had great response to the SEKC event and I can’t wait for everyone to get a chance to race on our new track. The CRG factory day is huge deal. Any racer knows what it cost to put a day on like this and for CRG and PSL to offer something like this is fantastic. I encourage drivers out there not to miss this very rare opportunity to spend the day with some of the best in the business. Drivers spend thousands for a day like this and it’s all here for you. If your not driving a CRG or running a Rotax engine, this is a great way for you to checkout both packages. CRG, Rotax Power, factory tuners and drivers, a brand new race track in New Orleans; I can’t think of anything else a kart racer would need, accept a world famous NOLA Snow Ball to cool down after it’s all over.”

Dominic Labrecque, President of PSL Karting, is looking forward to the opportunity, “We are very proud to join NOLA Motorsport in offering karting enthusiasts a unique day tailored made for them. If you own a CRG or just want to try one out, our factory specialists will provide you with all the information you need to perform the PSL way. We invite you to come and test drive the new 2012 CRG karts powered by PSL Rotax engines. It will be my pleasure to meet and work with you personally. Don’t miss out and we’ll see you at Nola Motorsport Park.”

Anyone registered for the SEKC will have the day free of charge, get in some extra seat time and sample CRG’s newest product line. Limited spots are available and those interested are asked to contact Garett Potter of NOLA via email  garett@nolamotor.com or 504-273-6747.
