Charlie Wurz in Top Five of FIA Academy Trophy

Followed directly by Manetti Motorsport, the young Austrian made the most of his debut at the FIA Academy in Wackersdorf.

Under the supervision of Alessandro Manetti, Wurz built up a winning weekend right from the start. After official qualifying, Wurz closed in P7, valid for second place in group C.
During the double heat on Saturday, despite the rain, Wurz managed to close with an excellent 3rd position, only to be forced to retire in the second heat.

On race Sunday, Charlie once again demonstrated his potential by taking third place also in the last heat available, thus obtaining the 13th starting position.

In the final race, Charlie Wurz managed to recover eight positions with a series of fast laps and close fighting to finish the year's first race with the best fifth place in the category. The Austrian, expected at Sarno for the second round, currently occupies P7 in the general classification.
