The final heats of the Rotax Grand Finals confirmed the protagonists of Thursday, with some exciting racing action in all four categories.

In Junior Max, the last two heats went to British duo Thomas and Symons, with the two sharing the front row for the prefinal. Row 2 for poleman Ropanen and French driver Venturi, with Euro Challenge protagonists McCarthy down in 9th after stopping 5th fastest in qualifying. Well down the order, outside the top-20 some of the protagonists of the European season like Buys, MacDonald and Kenneally.
In Senior Max, one win and two 2nd places were enough for Besler to grab pole, with Ed Brand taking two wins and a 4th to join him on front row. Superb 3rd for Italy’s Alex with two wins and a 5th who will be joined by Dutch driver Willemse on row 2. Impressive 10th place for Omani driver Al Rahawi, while Blom and Van Kalmthout had a disastrous weekend.
If the DD2 Masters prefinal front row was contested among Stephen, Wang, Ollikainen and Schiavo (each getting one win, Stephen two), DD2 saw the utter domination by Kancsar, able to get three commanding wins. Next to him on front row for the final, British driver racing for UAE Luke Varley thanks to two wins and a 2nd place.
