Certainly improving from last year, the “U18” World Championship & Academy Trophy opening round in Italy is set to be the first of three very tight racing weekends. 79 drivers from 26 countries, including drivers from Asia and America, made of the “U18” a truly global event. Also, the single-engine/single-tyre format allows drivers’ performance to stand out, with very little left to chance. In fact, the point system awards drivers both in the final and in the heats, making sure that the most consistent ones get to the top of the standings.
