The release of two steering wheels for SIM last year has fueled customers' desire to see the company more present in the emerging market for simulation products and it is precisely from their requests that the idea took shape. Max Papis did not miss the opportunity: “Customers weren't satisfied just with steering wheels: they asked us to propose a chassis for SIM Racing, a complete and ready-to-use product. At that point we asked ourselves whether to start with a high-profile and very expensive product or to think of the emerging mass of Sim racers, who in fact are not professionals and cannot afford to spend large sums.”
It was therefore decided to work primarily on the quality of performance, without too many frills: adaptability and adjustments of the steering wheel in all directions, but above all on the pedal unit, tested directly by Max: “The pedal support must be extremely rigid, and Sim Max is. Personally, using the SIM often, I realize that when I use the pedals on a support that is not rigid enough, I lose the feeling!” As for accessories and supports, SIM MAX was born as a "complete" product with all supports (TV, PC, Mouse) and compatible with all steering wheels and pedal sets already on the market, given that MPI has focused on creating a product that is 'turn key': I install and run.

The idea behind SIM MAX, explains Max Papis, is to give everyone the opportunity to be a true SIM Racer with an entry-level but quality product. “I thought about when I started with karts, the 100 cadets. It was an excellent kart, basic, but which allowed you to really race and try your hand at racing: it was the first step and it had to be accessible, have a reasonable price. Then if you wanted you could level up and spend more, but that was the base. This is SIM MAX for me: opening the doors to the world of racing.”
In the SIM range of MPI there is also a 'folding' version, for those who do not have large spaces at home.
