In Adria, the first year of Laurens van Hoepen's Junior came to a close
With the third round of the WSK Final Cup of Adria, Laurens van Hoepen concluded his first season in OKJ.
The event in the province of Rovigo was a very complicated weekend from a climatic point of view where, due to the rain, all the drivers had to deal with extremely variable conditions. Interpreting the changes in the track was not easy, but van Hoepen's entourage was able to provide him with a vehicle that would allow him to make up for lost ground after a complicated qualification.
The Dutchman, in fact, became the protagonist of a great comeback in which, from the 36th place of the Official Practice he climbed to P24 in the heats and then to the 8th in the Prefinal B. In the Final, he took 15th, crossed the finish line 11th, earning 4 positions.
Laurens van Hoepen: "The rain made things difficult for everyone, but in the long run we managed to emerge and get closer to the top 10. This race ended a very important season on the learning profile, which also gave me diverse satisfactions. Now a very important winter awaits me to prepare my second year in OKJ. I want to thank the Tony Kart team for their professionalism and hard work together."
For van Hoepen it's time to take a short break before starting preparations for 2019.
