Apex by Vega and Las Vegas for BNL Karting Series

The purpose of the comparative test day was to give the drivers the chance to get to know the new ‘Apex by Vega’ tyre which will be used in BNL Karting Series and the Belgian Max Challenge in 2017. More than 50 drivers got a free test set to play around with and got to give their unsalted opinion.

The ‘Apex by Vega’ tyre was developed with specific targets: easy handling, more grip, a good braking balance and most of all a durable long life expectancy without decay in lap times. We are proud to announce that the ‘Apex by Vega’ tyre graduated ‘cum laude’!!! The hard compound as well as the medium compound got a monster score of 9/10!

The results are obvious. The Apex medium tyre, driven by the Senior class & DD2, is in average more than a second faster per lap. Also in Junior class, which will drive the Apex hard tyre, the results were similar. Drivers’ general impression is that the Apex tyre offers more grip and a better balance & handling. Therefore it is easier to drive. In short more FUN!

‘The Apex tyre reaches optimal driving temperature very fast and it give you the control you are looking for while braking and exiting corners’, Bas Janssen says. ‘While exiting a corner you just feel you have the necessary grip’, he proceeds. Also Lars van Vark praises the tyre, ‘even after 70 laps its performance is still very constant and the grip level is still excellent.’

It is clear that the ‘Apex by Vega’ tyre already convinced these drivers.
 
To strengthen this outcome the BNL Karting Series and Belgian Max Challenge organisation goes all the way by inviting drivers to the US Open race in Las Vegas in 2017. The winners of the classes micro max, mini max, junior max, senior max, DD2 en DD2 masters will recieve a ticket. A prizegiving value of $40.000. The one thing drivers need to do is to bring along their engine and racing is on!
