The final weekend of October will see a grandstand event comprising of more than 230 drivers at the “Home of Champions,” Karting Genk, as the Rotax Grand Festival and Golden Trophy will be the centrepiece between October 27th and 29th this year.
It will also see the 1,360-metre circuit host the Grand Festival for the very first time, where drivers in both Micro MAX and Mini MAX will compete for a sole ticket in each class to compete at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in Bahrain this coming early December.
This will also see the remainder of the Rotax racing family compete over two and a half days, with some of the racing taking place under the floodlights, which is a very formidable challenge in its own right.
Along with the spectacle of competing under the night time sky in Limburg, there is the added drama of Superheats being a part of the event, which will mean the drivers will have to be a bit more strategic on their approach.
This will also include the race to making sure that the top 36 drivers in classes, which also provides its own dramas, no matter where the racing takes place.
The Golden Trophy has seen plenty of great racing and that is set to continue in the Limburg region, on what will be a very busy and demanding schedule for the drivers, teams, mechanics and families that will be there in Belgium, with all the livestream coverage being provided on the dedicated BNL Karting Series YouTube channel from the Saturday morning.
