OK World Championship – Prefinals

- Races
Ward Racing driver Alexander Smoylar wins a crazy prefinal 1 over Karol Basz. In the prefinal 2 CRG dominates with three drivers on the podium.

Prefinal A

Karol Basz (Kosmic – Vortex) is really determined to grab his second world title. Polish driver holds the leadership from Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart – Vortex) and Russian Alexander Smoylar (Tony Kart – Vortex), but a few corners after the start the reigning world champion goes wide and slides into 9th position. Smoylar takes the lead, but incredibly also the Russian goes wide, so it’s Travisanutto who grabs the lead. Italian driver leads the race until lap six, when Smoylar takes the lead back, and the Ward Racing driver starts losing position, finishing the race in 7th. In the last part of the race Smoylar and Milell battle for the lead, while Tom Joyner (Zanardi – Parilla) and Basz finds an incredible speed and joins the battle for the lead. On lap the Polish driver overtakes Joyner and on the last lap Milell tries to grab the first position from Smoylar but loses the second position in favour of his teammate Basz.

Prefinal B

Amazing race by Felice Tiene (CRG – Parilla): the Italian driver starts in seventh position and finds his way to the top spot, wreaking his revenge on temmate Pedro Hilrbrand (CRG – Parilla). Immediately after the start is the 2016 KZ2 reigning world champion who tries to get away from the pack, making the most of a cruel battle between Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart – Vortex), Paavo Tonteri (CRG – Parilla) and Jordon Lennox-Lamb (BirelART – Parilla). On lap six Lorandi has a technical failure, and he is forced to leave the track. Another CRG driver completes the podium: Hannes Janket (CRG – Parilla) overtakes Christian Lundgaard (Ricciardo – Parilla) and joins his two teammates.
