The OK and OKJ World Championship is about to start on the Spanish circuit in Andalusia, with favourites and possible outsiders.
The Campillos track is practically unknown to most people, at least until a few weeks ago. Thanks to the test sessions and above all to the Champions Of The Future, in fact, all the world entry list has been able to study and work on every single aspect together with their teams in order to be ready for the appointment which will conclude the FIA Karting season.
The RGMMC race of last week has therefore let us understand at least partially what could be the values in the field and the first cards that will begin to discover from Friday's qualifying.
OK
All eyes are on the clash at the top between the protagonists of the European Championship and of the recent race of Campillos, won by a good Nikola Tsolov still among the protagonists and favourites for the final victory. The Bulgarian driver has been able to tame the return of Rafael Camara, back on the kart just on the occasion of the Champions Of The Future (winning the overall standings), in function of the World appointment where the Brazilian will try to center the great trophy after having touched it in the Finnish world championship in the Junior category. Big absentee is the European Champion Andrea Kimi Antonelli, already committed to 360° on the Italian F4 in the last weekend of Monza. Even more space, therefore, for the "historic" rival Arvid Lindblad, who is highly expected. Birel Art hopes are mainly focused on the trio made up of Matheus Morgatto, already very competitive last week, Cristian Bertuca, recently on the podium in the last WSK race, and Tymoteusz Kucharczyk, also in great form in the last few races. The best recoveries in the COTF weekend were made by the Tony Kart duo, Tuukka Taponen and Joe Turney ready to join the fight, with the same intent as Olin Galli representing the CRG "All-Blacks".
OKJ
Many unknowns for the Junior category, especially in the light of the recent performances, starting with the victory of Enzo Deligny followed by David Walther and Tomas Stolcermanis, who are now more than ever waiting for a great confirmation. Headlights on the outgoing World Champion Freddie Slater, reigning European Champion and protagonist of the entire season to this point, threatened by the Brazilian Matheus Ferreira even more mature than the last confrontation faced in previous months.
Official start of the weekend as always on Friday (November 29) with the last free practice and qualifying, then facing all the spectacle of the heats scheduled for Saturday 30 and the morning of Sunday 31, before the finals that will be worth the title of World Champion.
