Baiz interrupts his collaboration with Birel

In the last days, Mauricio Baiz’ management has made official the ending of the technical collaboration with Birel Motorsport. The relation between the house of Lissone and the young Venezuelan driver lasted 4 years and it ends with a very satisfying balance for both parties. Especially, it allowed Baiz to grow up as driver in the youth programmes of the Lissone house and to become one of the most interesting and fast drivers in the KFJ category, so to earn the attention and a contract directly with Red Bull.

However, in view of future strategies, the management staff of Mauricio Baiz considered useful a technical change, a target reached by preparing a dedicated team in order to improve some aspects which influenced the performances in the first part of the season.

In the end the season, Baiz will be followed by a staff coordinated by Alessandro Villa, who’s always followed him in karting, using Exprit chassis and Vortex engines.

The new structure will have the direct collaboration of the OTK Group and it will take part to the Cik-Fia World Championship, besides the final races of the Italian Championship and the WSK Final Cup.

After the last race made with the Lissone house in Siena for the Italian Championship, Mauricio Baiz thanked all the Birel racing division staff, to whom he will always be linked with great friendship and gratitude for everything they’ve done for him in the 60 Mini seasons and in his first year in KFJ.

The next race for Baiz will be the Italian Championship in Lonato, and a few days after he will move to Sarno in order to test in view of the Cik-Fia World Championship on October 6th.
