2012 season is now at its starting point for our Racing Team. The 17th edition of the Winter Cup in Lonato (Italy) will have its
début with the new drivers of KF category, Kang, Mac Leod, Panetta, Teemu and Chang.
For many years this race at the International South Garda karting track has been considered the starting event of the professional season
at International level and represents the first training step for the whole technical staff and drivers.
Even though weather conditions, particularly severe in this period, are not allowing to have results which can be compared to the ones we
will get during the season, however the Winter Cup is at the same way very important since any driver enters the professional
atmosphere.
At the track, in KF2 category we will have many drivers, Fioravanti (n°1), Ling Kang (n°2), Samuel Mac Leod (n°3), Federico Panetta
(n°4), Armand Phlio Paz (n°5), Petjoi Teemu (n°6) a nd Andy Chang (n°7).
Philo Paz and Teemu will be engaged in this period of the KF2 season only, since they will be engaged at full time in KF1 category,
attending the WSK series and all the World Cup.
In the category with the gear we will have Marco Ardigò and Rick Dreezen, both on the podium of the last Winter Cup edition. The
competition next to the Lake of Garda will see our drivers running Racer EVRR chassis, powered by Vortex engines, very well prepared
and competitive technical material.
With the first race of our Racing Team in 2012 season, the Petronas Rok Lube lubricant will have its début. The lubricant has been tested
during many test sessions thanks to the existing cooperation between Petronas, our research and development department and the Tony
Kart Racing Team.
On next Thursday 16th of February the free practices will start. On Friday 17th , qualifying rounds and the first manches are scheduled,
while on Saturday 18th rounds are scheduled during the whole day.
The prefinal round and the very finals will take place on Sunday 19th of February starting at 1.30pm.
