Sarno to welcome the best kart drivers in the world at Circuito Internazionale Napoli

Press Release by:
The 17th edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) will occur at the new track layout of Circuito Internazionale Napoli in Sarno, 35 kilometres outside Naples, from October 15 to 22, 2016.

The Rotax MAX Challenge (RMC) is a professional kart racing series established, owned and organized by BRP and its Rotax kart engine distributors. Approved by and in compliance with CIK / FIA, the RMC is a "one-make-engine" formula: only Rotax kart engines that are checked and sealed (for equal performance) are allowed. The success in the competition is mainly up to the skills of the driver.

Throughout the whole karting season approximately 7,500 RMC racers give their best to attend the seasonal highlight, the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals. Only 360 out of them could make it to race for the championship titles in Sarno. Aged between 8 and 50+, and coming from 59 countries, the racers compete in six different categories. “We are curious to see how this 17th edition of the RMCGF will turn out,” said Thomas Uhr, General Manager BRP-Rotax. “Join us for great races and enjoy the great atmosphere and spirit of Rotax karting!”

No tickets are needed to attend the event and the stands will be open to the public between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day starting Monday October 17. The final races are scheduled to start around 12:00 a.m. on Saturday October 22, 2016.
