- News and Previews

The Andrea Margutti Trophy has its website. The 22nd edition due next 20th March 2011. Entries open from next 24th January (KF2-KF3) and from 31st January (KZ2-60 Mini).

Parma, 19th January 2011. The Andrea Margutti Trophy, the classical International winter race that is about to reach the twenty-two editions of the event and which is scheduled for next 20th March 2011, introduces itself on this important occasion with a totally renewed website, with brand new graphics and contents.
In the new website www.trofeomargutti.com there is lots of information about the event and the regulations; great space, of course, is dedicated to the memory of Andrea Margutti, the young driver from Rome who tragically died - when he was not 15 yet - in 1989, when he was a promising driver at international level together with Giancarlo Fisichella, Jarno Trulli and many other drivers who were of his age at the time.
No other event in memory of a sportsman managed to soar so powerfully as the Andrea Margutti trophy did. The new website is meant to follow step by step the history of the event, pointing out the characteristic aspects of karting of these last two decades.
So far, the opening days for the entries to the next edition of the Andrea Margutti Trophy have been decided – the Trophy is due next 20th March 2011 on the 7 Laghi Circuit of Castelletto di Branduzzo (Pavia - Italy).
The race is in the CIK-FIA international schedule and the categories admitted are: KF3, KF2, KZ2 and 60 Mini. From next 24th January it is possible to enter for the KF2 and KF3 categories, while to enter the KZ2 and 60 Mini categories the opening day is next 31st January. Entries close on 1st March 2011. The KF2 and KF3 accept a maximum of 68 entrants, the 60 Mini 51 and the KZ2 34.
Further information and entry forms available on the new website www.trofeomargutti.com .
