OK – Sharp still fighting
The Swedish weekend once again saw the Birelart Senior drivers working through their respective progress.
After the excellent work together with the team during the Champions of the Future week, Aston Sharp (VAR by Birelart) confirmed his competitiveness.
He narrowly missed the top five in Qualifying and then delivered solid heats with convincing pace, collecting strong results at the front, including one heat P1, always recovering positions.
Sharp stayed in the top ten during the Super Heat before fighting in the Final, despite losing positions at the start and making contact while trying to avoid the accident after the start. Unfortunately, that contact forced him to retire in the closing laps of the race.
Sala (CL Racing Team) followed a very similar path, starting with a strong Qualifying performance and continuing with good results and recoveries in the heats, including a P2.
The Super Heat and especially the Final did not go his way. He was expected to recover positions but was forced to retire after being involved in the accident just after the start. Ivannikov did his best throughout the weekend, recovering more than ten positions in several heats as well as in the Super Heat.
On his Kristianstad debut, Ramos also gained many positions, while Ina Rostad continued to show strong improvement.
Mazzola and Kotowski were fighting in the midfield.

OKJ – Morales, Rea and Legenkyi complete their first European Championship

Rea, Morales and Legenkyi (CL Racing Team) completed their first FIA Karting European Championship, with all three making their debut in the competition and continuing their performance development.
They showed a similar race pace throughout the weekend, alternating good finishes and recoveries during the heats, including Rea recovering 11 positions in the Super Heat and Legenkyi gaining as many as 19 positions, finishing just outside the top ten.


Jordon Lennox, Direct Drive Team Manager: «We finish a challenging European Championship, but one where we worked as well as possible as a team. The OK and OK Junior World Championship will be in November, so we will have time to work even better and find the right solution to be more consistent at the front and fight for the podium. Before that, we will give our best at the KZ and KZ2 World Championship in Le Mans».


After the summer break, Birelart will return to FIA Karting competition for the KZ, KZ2 and KZ2 Masters World Championship at Le Mans (France) from 17th to 20th September 2026.
