In KZ, the six-minute qualifying session saw the lap times steadily come down. Gustafsson set the pace with a 49.248, beating Maksim Orlov by two tenths of a second. David Trefilov was third, while Emilien Denner, who had matched Gustafsson's time earlier in the session, dropped to fourth.Reigning World Champion Senna Van Walstijn will start from eighth, with Hiltbrand ninth and Albanese 11th. Spirgel was 17th, while Adrian Malheiro Suñe, winner of the KZ round at Genk earlier this year, endured a difficult qualifying session and finished only 28th.
In KZ2, with 117 drivers entered, qualifying was split into four groups. French driver Arthur Lehouck took pole with a 49.610, set in the third group. Noah Wolfe was second ahead of Teo Blin, while Niklas Schaufler qualified fifth and reigning KZ2 European Champion Kimi Tani eighth.
Further down the order, several drivers who will be looking to move forward through the heats start from challenging positions: Jindrich Pesl is 20th, Maximilian Schleimer 25th and Teo Blin 35th.
Davide Forè took pole in KZ2 Masters after a closely fought qualifying session. Anthony Abbasse initially set the benchmark, but Forè found further time in the closing stages to post a 50.627 and move to the top of the standings. Aurelien Rey qualified second, with Abbasse third.
Reigning International Super Cup champion Angelo Lombardo will start fourth. Rubens Barrichello, making his KZ2 Masters debut at Le Mans, qualified 23rd with a 51.261.
