- This coming weekend, Autodrom Słomczyn will once again be the arena of competition for the title of Polish Karting Champion.

- After her triumph at the Poznań Circuit, Julia Angelard will once again have a chance for a perfect result, bringing her closer to her dream title. As the teenage ORLEN
Motorsport Academy driver emphasizes, she intends to give it her all, as always.

- After two of the four rounds, the teenage Polish woman is in second place in the general classification, second only to her teammate from MG Racing Team.


This time, the entire field of competitors will be present at the Autodrom Słomczyn from August 7th to 9th. The goal remains the same – to collect as many points as possible and win the championship title in the 2026 season. The runner-up Julia Angelard, representing during the Polish rounds MG Racing Team colours, admits that the victory in Poznań gave her a boost.

Another chance to add some valuable points

As with the Bydgoszcz or Poznań rounds, it's crucial to perform the best possible run in the qualifying session and then avoid any potential mishaps in the individual races. According to the rules of the Polish Karting Championship, the qualifying session determines the grid for the first race, while the starting positions for subsequent races are determined by the results of the previous heats. A mistake by a competitor or their rival can therefore impact the entire weekend's results.
After two of the four rounds this season, Julia Angelard currently sits second in the overall OK Junior standings. Only her teammate from MG Racing Team, who has a 63-point lead, is ahead of her. However, ORLEN Motorsport Academy driver admits, that she doesn't intend to give up easily.

Julia Angelard: I want to fight for the championship title

"The victory at the Poznań Circuit showed me that with the right approach, a good strategy, and determination, if the pace allows, the title of Polish Karting Champion is within my reach. Of course, I want to fight for the title – like everyone else on the track. The gap to the leader isn't small, but anything is still possible, and I'm not about to give up easily," emphasizes the Minardi Management powered by Dag Ltd. protégé.

JULIA ANGELARD, a 14-year-old karting racer, member of the ORLEN Motorsport Academy and a protégé of Minardi Management, is a member of the PZM junior national karting team in the 2025 and 2026 seasons. In the 2026 season, she will compete for Birel ART and the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy, and participate in the More Than Equal project and the F1 Academy Discover Your Drive program.
She began competing in karting at the age of 4. She began her professional starts in the Rotax Max Challenge Poland series in the years 2017-2022 in the MicroMax and Minimax categories. In 2023, at the age of 11, she started in the ROK Cup Poland in the Junior category. In September 2023, she made her international debut as part of the ROK Superfinal and ROK Cup Italia, where she also appeared in 2024, becoming the fastest and highest ranked competitor and advancing 17 positions in one of the races. In the 2025 season, she competed in the Polish Karting Championship, ROK Cup Italia, and Champions of the Future Academy, finishing second in the second round of the series in Jesolo.
