Number one in the Junior OK category
Even the practice sessions showed that Julia Angelard was in excellent form, capable of fighting for the top positions. A solid qualifying session, which ended in fifth place and with a strong appetite for a much better result, confirmed the driver's fitness. Julia began the first of Saturday's races by attacking the front runners, but after a battle on the track, she was ultimately re-classified in fifth place.
The second race at the Poznań Circuit brought the teenage Polish driver her first victory of the weekend, securing first place with a 1.819-second lead, securing a pole position for Sunday's competition.
The third of the weekend's four races was once again a showcase for the teenage driver's skills, as she remained at the front of the pack throughout the race, never letting her competitors overtake her, and once again crossing the finish line with a lead of over 1.5 seconds over her rivals.
The final race, which Julia entered as the leader of the individual round, was to decide the winner. On the third lap, the Polish teenager lost her race lead, but patiently chasing the front runners and finding her way behind the winner of the race not only resulted in second place in the final race of the competition on the Poznań Circuit, but also – as already mentioned – setting the fastest lap time, giving two additional points to the general classification – and thus victory during the second round of the Polish Karting Championships.
