Craigie’s World, and we’re just Living in it

There’s a name that’s been buzzing across the international karting community lately. Here’s a hint: it starts with Kenzo and ends with Craigie. (ns)
Craigie’s World, and we’re just Living in it
Just when we thought we had seen the best of the young talent from Epsom, UK—when he clinched the FIA Karting World Championship in a nail-biting showdown against teammate and fellow countryman Noah Baglin—Kenzo Craigie delivered yet another showstopper. He claimed victory at the IAME Warrior Final, the X30 class’s most fiercely contested race of the year, often referred to as the X30’s equivalent of a world championship.   Two international championship titles, a nomination and win for the FIA Action of the Year, third place overall in *Champions of the Future*, and a list of other accolades as long as a shopping receipt made 2024 a year to remember for Kenzo Craigie.

Kenzo’s karting journey began when he was just six years old, racing in the Bambino class. Now, at 14, he has become one of the most talked-about karting drivers in the world, earning his place on the prestigious list of “ones to watch,” alongside the likes of fellow Mercedes protégé Kimi Antonelli. Speaking of Mercedes, it’s worth noting that Kenzo is one of only three karting drivers backed by the Brixworth and Brackley-based F1 team, Mercedes-AMG—a partnership that speaks volumes about his potential.

Since his world championship win, Kenzo has been soaking up the limelight, whether it’s taking hot laps in sports cars with seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton or attending the FIA Awards ceremony in Kigali. As 2024 winds down, he’s announced his next big challenge: moving up to the senior OK category for the 2025 season. The announcement, made at the FIA Karting Awards in Nice, France, has already set the stage for an exciting year ahead.

The road ahead won’t be easy. The senior OK category promises to bring tougher competition and higher stakes. But for now, Kenzo Craigie stands atop the karting world, ready to take on whatever comes next.
