Franciacorta, a "world" 2023 on the horizon!

- Close Up
A truly great 2023 season looms ahead for the Franciacorta Karting Track, in its third official season and a resounding 2022.

The year 2023 promises to be a really challenging year and, we hope, worthy of great success for the Franciacorta Karting Track. The famous and extremely fast track is already at work to face the new season in the best possible way, and we can say that it has actually never stopped (on December 30, the track was open!).

The novelties of 2023 are many, starting with as many as three rounds of the WSK, a round of the Iame Euro Series, a DKM round (after years of Italian absence), but above all the FIA Karting OK/OKJ World Championship in October, the main event of the year with related side events and entertainment for the public!
But that's not all! We cannot forget the Champions of the Future in September and the various ROK CUP, IAME ITALY SERIES, EASYKART, and ROTAX trophies.
The track will also host a stage of the Swiss Autobau Championship, a stage of the Rotax Max Challenge Switzerland Championship, the new Italian Zone Cup, and a round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship

There are also many free practice days for training: in fact, the track will be open 7 days a week only and exclusively for karting! The Castrezzato track is also planning the Rental events in August with about 250 drivers from all over the world, but everything is still a work in progress!

Another treat at the track is the Guesthouse (with the name still to be determined). The Franciacorta Karting Track is building an accommodation facility inside the facility with 23 rooms for kart track users (very useful for testing during the week for foreign drivers), as well as a new expansion of the camping and hospitality area. So many projects, such as the expansion of the paddock, also involve a lot of economic efforts, but which stimulate to give more and more. An increase in all services (such as outdoor parking lots) and track staff is also planned, to guarantee drivers and teams a unique experience, in the name of mutual respect. Indeed, passion is what distinguishes this facility from many others, with Raffaella Giacomini and Stefano Bonara always on the track in person and on the front lines, with experience as organizer and co-organizer.

«Just back from the FIA Karting Best Event of the Year Award we really can't afford to let up! – explains Raffaella Giacomini –. We always look ahead and are always careful to do our best. There will certainly be no shortage of critical issues because we are not perfect, but with humility and dedication we will do our best for us and our users, always listening to their needs and expectations!»

To conclude, another novelty this year is that the track will become the Federal Karting Technical Center (the second in Lombardy), with four instructors who will teach the drivers both for the renewal of licenses/issue of the first license and for introduction to karting. In fact, you absolutely cannot enter the track without a license and these initiatives will make families more aware of what it means to ride in a kart (no more gym tracksuits, improvised trajectories or not knowing what a red or yellow flag is!).
