Palomba: "I signed with Maranello to keep on winning "
After concluding his one-year contract with Sodi, which brought Palomba his dream World Championship title last October, the Italian driver has signed with Maranello Kart. He returns to his roots with Leonardo Viti, the engine builder who launched him into high-level competitions at the beginning of his career and worked with him in recent years before his move to Sodi. As widely announced through his social media channels, Giuseppe Palomba will race with the official Maranello team in all the most important competitions of the 2025 season.

"I felt truly wanted by Maranello; I felt at ease right away," Palomba explained. "They made me a great offer. The chance to work with Viti's engines again was crucial for me. I love challenges, and the idea of continuing to win with different equipment excites me greatly. At Maranello, I’ll work with Luca Filini, whom I already know from when we worked together at Birel years ago. He’s a top-tier chassis engineer, and I’m thrilled to have his support on the track again. It’s been a month and a half since I’ve been driving and honestly, I can’t wait to get back on track. Sometimes you’d think that achieving a lifelong dream—winning the KZ World Championship—might make you feel satisfied. But you know what? I know now that I can do it because I’ve proven it. If it were up to me, I’d want to win ten more titles! I’m motivated, driven, and determined to keep proving that I can be the number one."

Specific goals for 2025?
"Clearly, the main goal is to win the World Championship again—not just this year but three or four more times! But honestly, I also want to perform better in the European Championship. Last year, I was a bit unlucky. Plus, the European Championship this year will have three rounds, one of which will be on my home track in Sarno, which means a lot to me. Then there’s the Supernats in Las Vegas. Due to an issue with my documents, I couldn’t race this year. I was so disappointed by what happened that it took me three days to unpack my suitcase after finding out I wouldn’t be racing. In 2025, not only do I want to compete, but I also want to do my absolute best to fight for the win."
