The Winter Series by RGMCC has started on the kart track of Franciacorta. Pole positions awarded to Simo Puhakka (KZ2), Tomass Stolcermanis (OK) and Anatoly Khavalkin (OKJ).
Baptism of fire for the international season of the kartdrome with the first day in the archive and the first names to keep an eye on in the program of heats tomorrow. Despite the test sessions and free practice behind, all those present at Franciacorta Karting Track have shown to be able to improve and progress on the new circuit, giving six qualifying sessions (two per category) not at all obvious.
A format in FIA Karting version, "fast" and pressing with the three categories to animate the slopes of the track. In KZ2 pole position for Simo Puhakka, who takes the whole Tony Kart fleet on his shoulders and scores a hard-to-beat 46.653. A return in great style for the now F4 driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli, present at Franciacorta and currently first in Group B at +0.212 from Puhakka. Starts from the pole also for Giuseppe Palomba with the first of the Birel Art (group C) and Laurens Van Hoepen (group D) for Lennox Racing.

For the Senior, space to the first of the outsiders, already protagonist in 2021 at the World Championship of Campillos and among the winners of the Rotax Grand Finals: Tomass Stolcermanis (46.922). The Latvian has put in line the great expectations mixing in fact all possible predictions. Same for the remaining three group poles, awarded respectively to Nakamura-Berta for group B, Orlov for group C and Powell in group D. Second and third positions for the lurking protagonists Taponen (B), Turney (C) and Coluccio (B). CRG ring with Gabriel Gomez again at the top with the fifth position in the overall time classification.
The Junior category closes with the absolute pole position, and by measure, for the Russian driver Anatoly Khavalkin in 48.324. The Parolin driver confirms the great expectations of the beginning of the year with the umpteenth good performance since the qualification. Three other pole positions also in this case with the rookie Nathan Tye in front for gr. B, Tarnvanichkul and Dedecker captains for gr. C and D.
As for OK and OKJ, most of the last strong names of the FIA Karting season are back at the top of the rankings, an interesting fact that at the third race of the year starts to outline a first complete picture of the categories.
See you tomorrow with the heats starting at 10.35am.
