Top performance for Rehm at the WSK Champions Cup

The 2021 racing season started competitively for Maxim Rehm, despite the bad luck in Sunday’s Prefinal.

The German driver, who was already fast in the test days before the event, immediately scored the overall pole position in the Qualifying Practices placed on Friday. Rehm continued to impress in the Heats; he won 3 out 5 heats attended. In the remaining two, he finished 5th and retired due to a technical problem.

Maxim confirmed the good pace in the Prefinal, he was the fastest in the first laps but a tire problem forced him to slow done. This pushed him back to 9th place; but a 5 ”time bumper penalty pushed him out from the 17 qualified drivers for the Final.

I feel improved since the 2020 first race. For sure, the long year I had in 2020 has been an important lesson for my career.I think that all was perfect in the Qualifying Practices and in the Heats. The team and ONE provided me the best material possible, and I showed the capabilities to battle in the front. Next time will be better, I’m sure.» Rehm is already in Adria to compete in the WSK Super Master Series round 1.
