Last season's best rookie is once again among the protagonists of the OK season that's now started.
Despite a difficult beginning to the season, the Red Bull Academy driver Harry Thompson put on a great show in the last events at Adria.
After a 2018 as an absolute protagonist of the new OK category, in his second year in the series, Thompson is considered to be among the chosen for the top prize. The Briton, of indisputed talent, has recently concluded the first stage of the Super Master Series with the best comeback of Final A.
As many as 19 positions gained by Thompson after the apparent defaillance of the pre-final. Overtakes and heated battles that in the end rewarded him with a good fifth place in the race.
Following are Thompson's impressions regarding the weekend and beyond.
- Harry what do you think about your start of the season?
«It’s been a tough start to the season but RFM and I are working hard to turn things around».
- After a solid 2018, what are your goals for 2019?
«My goal is to carry on where I left off in 2018 and hopefully get victories».
- What was the secret to recovering so many positions?
«Having belief in myself and the team that we will get things right for the final».
- Who will be your rivals this year according to you?
«Ok Senior is very competitive and is hard to predict. It’s too early into the season to name drivers».
