The last European weekend of classes KZ, KZ2 and FIA Academy officialy starts. At the end of qualifying, Francesco Celenta, Emilien Denner and Sami Meguetounif, took pole position.
Friday thus done for all the drivers at South Garda Karting. Usual battle with the chronometer, setting the tune for the weekend, useful for the conquest of the title.
KZ - Celenta starts strong
A lot of expectations for the event's queen class, closely fought as always. Pole to the Italian Francesco Celenta, with 45.624, grabs pole for the heats. Behind him, Marjin Kremers, in P2 with only 0.055sec gap; third, Jorrit Pex, by 0.056sec. Extremely tight gaps that foresee a great race for the weekend. Mirko Torsellini finished P4, Rick Dreezen in P5, all under the tenth of a second. In P6, Paolo De Conto, while the star of Salbris, Jeremy Iglesias, finished in P9; P12 for Marco Ardigò. Numerous and hard-fought, the FIA Academy, is also a protagonist in the second weekend of the calendar. Four front-runners with Sami Meguetounif, by a whisker, in front of everyone in 48.562. The Frenchman closed with just + 0.006sec advantage on the excellent Federico Albanese. The Italian, closes qualifying with pole position for group B. Coertze and De Figueiredo lead groups C and D. Heats starts from 11:30.
