European competition for KZ and KZ2 is finally started.
The stage is set for the start of the European Championship KZ and KZ2. At the end of the day of qualifying in Salbris (FRA), Jorrit Pex and Pierre Loubere, command the ranks.
Headlights focused on the gearbox classes for the first European weekend of the top categories. As usual, Friday time-attack for all drivers engaged on the demanding French track.
KZ – Pex, en garde
It's an already tight fight in the event's queen class. The Dutchman of CRG Holland, Jorrit Pex (CRG / TM), puts in the best overall performance with 57.776 at the end of the session. Time valid for the absolute pole position; behind him, Fabian Federer (CRG / TM), with a +0.022 sec gap. Third, again a protagonist after Sarno, Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG / TM), with 57.879. To complete the top five positions are Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM), reigning champion, and Marijn Kremers (BirelArt / TM), both at one tenth.
KZ2 – Loubere, home boy
There are six pole positions for the KZ2, with a huge turnout of drivers subdivided from group A to group F. Pierre Loubere (Prague / TM) manages his advantage of playing at home. Best lap in 57.780, just +0.010 sec ahead of Riccardo Longhi (BirelArt / TM). Giuseppe Palomba (Intrepid / TM), with the third absolute time trial, secured the pole for group C. Same for Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM) and Simone Cunati (TopKart / Parilla), respectively at the top in group D and E. Closing with the sixth absolute time is Hubert Petit (Sodi / TM), by only +0.008 sec on Giacomo Pollini (FK / TM), seventh.
