FKS Champion Ross Martin ready for MSA Formula opening rounds at Brands Hatch

Press Release by:
FKS reigning Champion Ross Martin is set to make his MSA Formula race debut this weekend as the season kicks off supporting the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch 2nd - 3rd April.

Ross was awarded a fully funded season in MSA Formula with Fortec Motorsport courtesy of Formula Kart Stars, his prize for winning the Championships Super FKS class. The prize is once again up for grabs in 2016, with a grid full of hopefuls including stars such as Josh Smith, Jack McCarthy, and 2015 Vice-Champion Sean Rudge looking to follow in Ross's footsteps.

Martin has already impressed in pre-season testing, topping the timesheet at the final MSA Formula Official Test day held at Rockingham on the 23rd March. The young Scot, who has his sights firmly set on the top step of the podium, recognises that he would not of had this opportunity if it hadn't been for Formula Kart Stars:

"I feel very grateful with the opportunity that FKS have given me for 2016," said Ross. "I’m very excited to be running with Fortec Motorsport, knowing they’re one of the best teams on the grid, and it was for that reason I chose FKS over any other championship last year. I’d fully recommend anyone out there looking to move into cars to compete in FKS, it’s certainly the best prize I’ve seen in British Motorsport for the last 10 years!
