The race direction sanctioned the Tony Kart driver for having joined the field in his original position after raising his arm during the warm up lap for a technical issue. As a result the Italian driver will not start from the front row in the prefinal. Lundgard inherited the position next to De Conto (pole), while Ardigò will have to sit on 16th position.
