The 1st Open International is taking place at La Ciudad del Motor circuit in Alcaniz, Spain. Among others, Armand Convers (PCR) from Fance, Thomas Eidjord (PDB) from Norway, Marc Otero (FaKart) and teammate David Alabart from Spain are fighting it out in KF2. Kevin Ceccon (Birel) from Italy, Gerard Barrabeig and Carlos Sainz jr. on FaKart from Spain, and Kristoffer Bromset (PDB) from Norway are racing in KF3. Italians David de Luchi (First Kart), Matteo Cattelan (Maranello) and Simone Brenna (Tibi Kart) are racing KZ2 in the exceedingly Spanish field.

The fantastic karting track, part of a bigger racing facility recently built in the Aragon region, is almost 1,700 metres in length and 10 m. in width. As a proof of the high standards of the facility, La Ciudad del Motor will also be the venue of the 2008 European KF2/KF3 Championship Western Region Qualifications.
In order to attract the biggest number of international drivers, the organization provides Euro 30,000 in awards. 8 nationalities are represented and some of the best international drivers in KF2, KF3 and KZ2 are taking on the grids at La Ciudad.
