Breaking news! Lewis Hamilton’s kart

With the 2009-2014 new chassis homologation, another F1 star comes back to karting. We’re talking about 2008 F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, and Vroom has the exclusive!
Looking at the CIK homologation list, we noticed that Crg presented the LH model among all its products. Although the acronym could easily be guessed as Lewis’ initials, we weren’t sure and didn’t want to risk doing misinformation. But after asking few questions to the right people, our guess has been confirmed, only a few hours before the prize giving ceremony in Montecarlo.

We can now say that it’s official: Lewis Hamilton kart will be presented Friday 12th December during the presentation of FIA champions.

The colours will be recalling the colours of Lewis’ helmet, truly distinctive identity of the British driver since his early days racing karts. Not only the colours will be a distinctive feature of the LH model. Although the price has not been decided yet, the LH looks to be the top of the range, with the top accessories available. Some parts like the seat are in carbon fibre, other accessories in magnesium, and braking system disks in ceramic.

Two models have been homologated: LH1 and LH2, the first similar to the Zanardi Ø30, and the second more similar to the Crg Road Rebel Ø32, yet with several differences. Crg has surely concentrated its best efforts to manufacture a kart that reflects Lewis’ top qualities.
We’ll know more about it very soon. Commercial strategies and racing programme are in fact yet to be decided.
