The Macau racetrack hosted the second and final round of the CIK-FIA World Championship for the KF1 class with the running of the Macau Karting Cup. ART Grand Prix lined-up in Asia with the Factory Team's top racer and test-driver Ben Hanley, who was back in the KF1 category for the occasion.

The goal for the Team was to evaluate the new TM Racing engine for a possible use during the next season, but the results scored exceeded that goal and Ben also managed to end up onto the podium with a second place finish in Race 3. The British ace also scored two fifth place finishes an a third place (although he was demoted with a 10-second penalty). In technical terms, the event enabled the ART Grand Prix team to initiate a valuable relationship with the TM Racing technicians and the results were far beyond the early expectations, both in terms of overall performance and for how quickly Hanley found a good chemistry with a previously unknown chassis/engine/tires package.

The positive weekend of ART Grand Prix was completed by a prestigious win for Sérgio Sette Camara in the World Finals of the IAME X30 Challenge at Lyon, France. The Brazilian youngster was a major star in the junior final, running in a comfortable second place for most of the time and then passing for the lead with two to go. The weekend's positive results also included the extremely valuable third place scored by Belgian Amaury Bonduel.
