The Australian Karting Association, Drew Price Engineering (Rotax importer for Australia) and BRP Rotax, have worked together to achieve a resolution to the JMAX engine non-compliance issue, and together with the National Karting Council (NKC) have lifted the current competition suspension of the JMAX Engine for 2007.
Although the future of the class in AKA competition is not clear, negotiations with DPE and BRP Rotax have reached an outcome that looks at meeting the current rules applicable to the JMAX engine without incurring great expense to the competitor.
