This is a terrific shot. None other than 1980 World Champion Peter de <span data-scayt_word="Bruijn" data-scaytid="2">Bruijn</span> back on kart. Whether he’s testing his own Maddox kart, having a bit of fun, or in preparation of the World Cup for <span data-scayt_word="KZ1" data-scaytid="3">KZ1</span> later on in early September on the Belgian circuit of <span data-scayt_word="Genk" data-scaytid="4">Genk</span> we don’t know, but <span data-scayt_word="Mirjam" data-scaytid="5">Mirjam</span> Van Delft has certainly hit the jackpot with this exclusive picture...<br />

"It's a Maddox Kart equipped with Parilla X30 engine by Iame - says the former World Champion. - We were building up the kart at the workshop/store in
my racing team store in Vlaardingen and decided to make it ready to try it myself. I already tried the engine last Saturday at Genk (karting GENK) in Belgium. It was pretty busy but I did a good job with it :)."

Peter admits it's a lot different than in the old days but it's great fun to race again. "I am positive we will be on our way to a karting circuit again with my own gear on soon" said Peter with a grin on his face.
