27 countries are represented in the U18 and 39 in the Academy Trophy, making this a truly international event. Contested on FIM single-make engine to cut costs, the U18 championship is supported by a total of 15 chassis makes (see Media Guide attachment for list), while the Academy Trophy is run on single-make engine and chassis (by Parolin) with also free LeCont tyres allocated by drawing lots.
Starting official qualifying on Saturday morning, the event will see drivers busy with the qualifying heats, and prefinal and final to be held on Sunday.

Round 2 will be held in Essay (France) on 26-28th August, and the 3rd and final round will be held in Bahrain on 3-5th November.
