As anticipated yesterday, the organisation of the Rotax® MAX ChallengeTM Grand Finals at the Al Ain Raceway in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates from November 23 to November 26, 2011 arrived at a major milestone – the nomination of chassis manufacturers supporting the event.
262 athletes – 60 countries – 4 chassis partners
This year it is the 12th Grand Finals enter a new decade with an event that will be bigger and more colourful than ever. Bigger – because of the increased 125 MAX DD2 Masters category as it will grow by another 10 athletes to 48 in total.
Altogether, Al Ain will allow 262 athletes from about 60 countries to race for glory - the biggest number of drivers in the history of the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals. This could also be recognized at the list of chassis partners for the Grand Finals 2011, the first time the Grand Finals will be supported by four independent chassis brands, which shows the wide support of the Rotax MAX Challenge idea amongst the karting industry.
Beside the long term partners C.R.G., SODIKART and Haase, who will support BRP-Powertrain again after 2010, Birel will be the new partner for this year's Grand Finals.
