In addition to staging within the framework of the Macau International Grand Prix the race which will be the last official appearance of Super KF karts in competition (before they are transformed into KF1s as from 2011), Macau will also organise the CIK-FIA Asia-Pacific KF3 Championship.
There will mostly be an Asian participation in this championship which will in particular oppose Drivers who already competed in 2010 in the new CIK-FIA Academy Trophy, like the Chinese Kang Ling, the Hong Kong Driver Jacky Chan and the Macau Driver Wing Chung Chang. The Europeans present at this gateway to China will be Matthew Graham, Luca Corberi and Alessio Piccini, the son of the four-time Formula C World Champion (former appellation of the current KZ1, a 125cc gearbox kart category).
As for the Macau International Grand Prix, it will gather the upper crust of European Karting professionals as the three major Manufacturers Birel, CRG and Tony Kart have decided to make the trip and enter their official Drivers. The programme of the meeting will be completed by the last round of the Asian Zone Karting Open Championship (AKOC).
