São Paulo-born driver Dudu Salamonde (Minardi Management powered by DAG / EXA Tecnologia / Vero Coco / DKR / RL Eng. Design / Casa Barô / SOMA Blindados) is going through a major transition in his racing career.
Following his departure from karting, F4 has become Dudu’s next destination, and he has been following an intense preparation program to ensure he is ready when the first official commitments of this new chapter begin. More than simply putting in the laps, this phase requires discipline, learning and a strong ability to adapt — qualities Dudu has already embraced very well.

As part of this process, Salamonde has been gaining valuable experience at some of Italy’s leading racing circuits. He recently completed test sessions at Cremona, Mugello and Cervesina, experiencing different track characteristics and a variety of situations that are an essential part of the development of a driver looking to progress through the ranks of motorsport. Every lap represents an opportunity to learn and another test of his ability to improve. Now, the work has temporarily moved away from the racetrack to focus on another fundamental component of performance.

Comprehensive Preparation

This week, the Brazilian’s challenge took him to the headquarters of Formula Medicine in Capezzano Pianore, near Pisa, Italy.
Internationally recognized for its work with racing drivers, the facility brings together a range of programs focused on the physical, mental and cognitive development of competitors.
For Dudu, this stage is further proof that preparing to race single-seaters goes far beyond lap times.
“I’m very happy to be going through this process at Formula Medicine. The facility is extremely comprehensive and has everything a driver needs to improve his performance. I’m truly impressed by the experience and by the opportunity to learn at a place where so many renowned drivers have already gone through the program,” said Dudu Salamonde.

A Benchmark in Motorsport

Formula Medicine has been part of the international motorsport scene since 1989 and has built a strong reputation for preparing drivers from a wide range of racing categories.
Over the years, more than 1,600 drivers from 68 countries have taken part in its programs, along with more than 80 Formula 1 drivers and 19 F1 teams.
Among those who have gone through the program is Charles Leclerc, now a Ferrari driver and one of the leading figures of the new generation of world motorsport, illustrating the level and reach of the work developed by the institution.

“I was already doing physical and mental training in karting, so I knew how important those two areas were. But the level of everything I’m experiencing here is very different, and I’m learning a lot,” explained the São Paulo driver.

The Next Step

Dudu Salamonde has yet to announce the team and championship he will compete in during the 2027 season. Until that decision is made, his focus remains on developing his skills and building a solid foundation for the next chapter of his career.

“The most important thing right now is to keep working, improving and being ready when the first tests with the team come around. I know it will be a new phase, full of challenges, but that’s something I enjoy,” added the driver, who is approaching his transition to single-seaters with determination and a strong desire to overcome every challenge.
