Second place in Saturday's final at the Aspar Circuit in Valencia, Spain, was the highlight of Julia Angelard's fourth round of the Champions of the Future Academy series.
The Polish driver, representing the F1 Academy Discover Your Drive program, demonstrated excellent pace among competitors from 24 nations around the world, securing a place among the very top and ultimately maintaining fifth place in the series' overall standings.

Golden Saturday in Valencia

The Polish driver quickly found her rhythm, posting the fourth fastest time in official practice and fifth fastest in qualifying. In the qualifying heats, she showcased her full potential, finishing second and third, respectively. The F1 Academy Discover Your Drive representative lost just 0.042 seconds to the race leader, attempting to attack him during the race, but it wasn’t possible.

Sunday challenges and time penalty
The second day of competition brought significantly more excitement and mixed fortunes, given the technical difficulties the Polish teenager faced. After an 11th-place qualifying and a more challenging first heat (P19), Julia demonstrated tremendous fortitude in the second qualifying heat, moving up to 7th. As a result, the teenage driver started Sunday's final from 10th on the grid. However, during the fierce battle in the crush, she made contact with another kart, resulting in the judges imposing a 5-second penalty on the Polish driver for her front bumper. As a result, Julia was classified 20th in Sunday's final.

Julia Angelard: second place in the final is a reward for hard work
