The 14-year-old remains the runner-up in the Junior OK general classification

After a very successful round in Poznań and the first victory for a woman in the Polish Karting Championship in 15 years, Julia Angelard arrived at Autodrom Słomczyn not only with her own expectations but also a certain amount of pressure.
Her goal for the weekend wasn't so much to accumulate as many points as possible, but also to maintain at least the second-place position in the overall standings in the Junior OK category.
Good pace and competition until the last lap
The teenager, representing the MG Racing Team, suffered a tire blowout during qualifying, losing air pressure and finishing twelfth on the grid for the first race. Despite this, Julia Angelard demonstrated her true pace in the first race, finishing fourth, just behind her rivals. In the second race, the competition proved so fierce that the Polish teenager ultimately finished seventh. This meant one thing: on Sunday, she once again had to focus fully on overtaking her rivals and fending off attacks from the competition.
As a result, Julia Angelard moved up to sixth place in the third race of the round, only to once again demonstrate her skill in the final race and cross the finish line in fourth place. The points accumulated during both days classified the Polish teenager on fifth place in the overall standings of the competition, and at the same time allowed her to maintain second position in the overall standings of the Polish Karting Championships in the Junior OK category.

"It was certainly great to be back in Poland for another race this year, which has been a rarity for me lately. It was a good weekend, full of fierce competition on the track and wheel-to-wheel battles right up to the last lap with drivers who are not only fast, but also compete in various European karting series on a daily basis. I'm happy with how high the final result I'm classified, and I'm even more pleased that I maintained second place overall. I'm glad that my pace allowed me to lead in three of the four races – it's a bit of a shame I couldn't turn that into wins. The final round of the championship is ahead of us at the end of September, and I will definitely give my all to end the year with a strong result and – hopefully – another podium. In the meantime, stay tuned and follow my social media, as I'll have something interesting to announce soon," emphasizes the driver of Minardi Management powered by Dag Ltd.
The final round of the Polish Karting Championships will take place from September 18-20, 2026, at the Biłgoraj track. Given the KMP regulations, which deduct the four worst results from each driver's points total, Julia Angelard's fight for the highest possible position in the general classification is still ongoing.
JULIA ANGELARD, a 14-year-old karting racer, member of the ORLEN Motorsport Academy and a protégé of Minardi Management, is a member of the PZM junior national karting team in the 2025 and 2026 seasons. In the 2026 season, she will compete for Birel ART and the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy, and participate in the More Than Equal project and the F1 Academy Discover Your Drive program.
She began competing in karting at the age of 4. She began her professional starts in the Rotax Max Challenge Poland series in the years 2017-2022 in the MicroMax and Minimax categories. In 2023, at the age of 11, she started in the ROK Cup Poland in the Junior category. In September 2023, she made her international debut as part of the ROK Superfinal and ROK Cup Italia, where she also appeared in 2024, becoming the fastest and highest ranked competitor and advancing 17 positions in one of the races. In the 2025 season, she competed in the Polish Karting Championship, ROK Cup Italia, and Champions of the Future Academy, finishing second in the second round of the series in Jesolo.
