The FIA Karting European Championship made its stop at the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Chiva-Valencia from May 7 to 10, 2026, marking the second round of the season for the OK and OK-Junior categories, joined this weekend by the Academy-Senior category for its opening round. Challenging Weather
Weather conditions heavily influenced the entire weekend, creating tension in the pits especially for managing correct tire pressures. Thursday saw only two heats per category, with some groups completing three before a heavy downpour with hail halted the day. Friday brought sun and stability, while Saturday packed all four seasons into one: cloudy and windy in the morning, intense rain later, then overcast skies and humidity, ending with near-summer sun in the final sessions. After three highly variable days, Sunday arrived with clear skies, finally offering more consistent conditions for the Super Heats and finals.

OK-Junior: Miron Lorente, King on home soil - a great triumph starting from 5th
In OK-Junior, Super Heat A saw Will Green prevail ahead of Daniel Miron Lorente and Gioele Girardello, while in Super Heat B the win went to Many Nuvolini, with Oskari Walle second and Lorenzo Di Pietrantonio third. The final then rewarded Daniel Miron Lorente, who best capitalized on the weekend's work. The Spaniard led Many Nuvolini and Will Green, while Gioele Girardello finished in fourth position. Particularly significant was Miron Lorente's performance, who pulled off a comeback of 4 positions that took him from fifth on the grid to the final victory.

OK: Baglin completes a benchmark weekend
OK also experienced a Sunday of the highest level. In Super Heat A, Niklas Schaufler imposed himself ahead of Noah Baglin and Zac Drummond, while in Super Heat B the win went to Dan Alemann, with Joe Turney second and Davide Bottaro third.
In the final, however, it was Noah Baglin who silenced everyone, securing the victory ahead of Joe Turney and Niklas Schaufler. This is the Briton's second seasonal victory, after the triumph already achieved in the opening round at La Conca. A success that confirms all his potential. The first Italian at the finish was Davide Bottaro, classified 14th. Two very effective comebacks in the final are worth noting: that of Tomasz Cichorcki (seventh with +10 positions) and that of Filippo Sala (up +16 positions). Baglin extends his Championship lead (190 pts), edging closer to the title, though after two Rounds many drivers can still turn the tables.

Academy-Senior Results
In the final heats, Alexis Genolet (SUI) won A-D ahead of Liam Carr (AUS) and Oliver Kurg (EST); Alex De Sario took B-C ahead of Albert Lapper (GBR) and Leonie Her (FRA). Genolet won the final ahead of Kurg and Lapper, with De Sario fourth—just 27 thousandths shy of third. Notable charges included +11 positions for Vanessa Silkunaite, Lucas Konopka, Chen Ruiyi, and Danish Irwan, plus Jose Bautista Delich's +16 surge.
