Race weekends in Rodby, Ancenis, and Kinnekulle

A busy weekend for our drivers, competing across multiple fronts: the Champions of the Future in Rodby (Denmark), the French Championship in Ancenis, and the Aquila Formula Nordic in Sweden. Between spectacular comebacks, promising debuts, physical setbacks, and unfortunate incidents, every driver faced their weekend with determination confirming important progress and showing encouraging signs ahead of the upcoming races.
Race weekends in Rodby, Ancenis, and Kinnekulle
Markas Silkunas, Vanesa Silkunaite – DNQ – Champions of the Future – Rodby (Denmark), OK Class
It was the first race with their new team for both young drivers, competing on the Danish track of Rodby in the Champions of the Future series. The weekend started in the best possible way, with strong performances in the early sessions and front-running pace from the outset. However, both drivers were struck by a flu virus that affected their physical condition, forcing them to withdraw from the weekend early and miss the race.
A stroke of bad luck that ended a promising weekend, where their initial pace hinted at strong potential results. Now, the goal is to fully recover physically ahead of next weekend’s event once again in Rodby for the FIA European Championship, carrying the confidence of the performance shown in the early stages of this debut.

Vladimir Ivannikov – P11 – Champions of the Future – Rodby (Denmark), OK Class
An excellent weekend for Vladimir, who impressed at the Rodby round of the Champions of the Future. The young driver showed great performance throughout all sessions, confirming steady improvement over the season. After being involved in an incident during the decisive heat before the final, Vladimir had to start from 26th on the grid. Despite the setback, he delivered an outstanding final, gaining ground lap after lap and crossing the finish line in P12, later promoted to P11 due to penalties applied to other drivers. The result is a clear confirmation of his growth, thanks to consistent work and great synergy with the team, which allowed for quick setup optimization throughout the weekend. A performance that builds confidence for the coming rounds, with the aim of solidifying progress and aiming for even higher results.

Nilas Malik – DNQ – Champions of the Future – Rodby (Denmark)
A solid weekend for Nilas Malik at Rodby in another round of the Champions of the Future series. The young driver qualified in a positive P12, showing signs of regained rhythm and competitiveness after a difficult phase in the season.
Although he didn’t make it to the final, Nilas displayed good speed and consistency in all sessions, fighting hard in every heat. His performances confirm significant growth, both technically and mentally.
Now, focus shifts to the upcoming FIA European Championship round, where Malik will aim to capitalize on the promising signs from this weekend and aim for a strong result.

Zack Zhu – French Championship – Ancenis (France)
A challenging weekend for Zack Zhu, who competed on the Ancenis circuit in the French Championship. The young driver struggled with physical issues from the very first sessions, which ultimately forced him to retire early cutting short a weekend that had looked both tough and promising.
Now it’s time for Zack to recover and focus on the next race, aiming to return in top physical condition and continue his development path.

Deven Grabko – Nordic Aquila Formula 1000 Championship – Kinnekulle Ring (Sweden)
Race 1: DNF
Race 2: DNF
Race 3: DNF
Racing action also took place in Sweden, where Deven Grabko participated in the fifth round of the Nordic Aquila Formula 1000 Championship at the Kinnekulle Ring. The American-Swedish driver showed signs of real progress, starting with a solid qualifying performance that placed him P6 among the front runners.
Unfortunately, all three races were compromised by various race incidents in which Deven was caught up through no fault of his own. These unlucky episodes affected his final results despite the potential shown in the opening sessions of the weekend.
Despite the lack of results, Grabko comes away with a positive takeaway in terms of performance and experience, further confirming the maturity he is developing this season. At this pace, the goal in upcoming events will be to consistently fight for top positions.
