European FIA Karting in Valencia, Gomez (OK) and Van Langendock (OKJ) the fastest

Columns: Races
The Brazilian from CRG powered by Iame and the Belgian from Forza Racing on Tm set the fastest time in the timed sessions. Gomez in the Senior category with 53.217, while Van Langendock stopped the clock at 54.909. Both confirm themselves as the drivers to beat in this first FIA Karting Continental event, in line with the pre-race predictions (cgg - photo Fotocar13).

In the Senior category, Gomez will have to watch out for the two Englishmen Drummond and Wherrell, both powered by Tm. Although we'll have to wait for the numerous heats being contested to know who will have gained positions at the top of the grid, from the timing charts, we can only highlight the good performance of the Italians Bottaro (CRG) and Pavan (Tony Kart), seventh and eighth respectively, while the European champion Bondarev is only 26th.

In the Junior category, Van Langendock will have to contend with the Spaniard Costoya (Parolin/Tm) and the surprise Lehtimaki (Tonykart/Vortex). Sala in ninth place as the Italian representative in Valencia. But also in the Cadet category, we'll have to wait for the heats to know the top positions from which the winner of this first round of the European FIA Karting Championship will emerge.

Participants express satisfaction with the competitiveness shown by the new Maxxis tires.
