For the Italian karting scene, the competitive season of 2024 cannot overlook the Rotax Max Challenge, an increasingly prominent presence in the complex Italian karting landscape (fl)

Rotax  championship (the largest and most followed mono-brand in the world) has chosen the 'belpaese' as its reference base for all its most important races, ranging from national, international, European races, and last but not least, the prestigious Grand Finals, which will take place at the end of October in Sarno, concluding the competitive year. Furthermore, there will be two races of the Rotax Euro Trophy that will take place on Italian soil: Franciacorta at the beginning of summer and the night race in Lonato at the beginning of September.
As for the national Rotax Max Challenge Italia championship, the appreciated 2024 format is confirmed: three races of national validity will accompany the well-established zone championships, in order to determine the Italian champions of the individual categories.
The three races of national validity will be, in order: Pomposa (May 26, 2024), Castelletto (July 28, 2024), and Franciacorta (September 29, 2024).
In the context of the zone championships, the first race of the Central South area has recently taken place at the Sele Circuit, with a good number of participants especially in the Mini class, while there is great anticipation for the start of the North Zone in Jesolo on March 24.
From a technical point of view, the non-competitive "Nano" class is introduced, reserved for children from 6 years of age, while for the "Mini" category there will be the introduction of a separate award for under-10s and fixed gearing.
In short, for Rotax in Italy, 2024 will be an exciting year.
