Biggest entries in Rotax Latvia at 333 Baltic Circuit

Last weekend, the Rotax MAX Challenge Latvia Round 3 was held in the newly renovated 333 Baltic Circuit (1,340 metres). So far, this is the largest number of Rotax drivers to have participated – with 93 entries registered for the third edition of the 2023 championship.

The season is currently mid-way through, with only two rounds remaining. However, nothing is clear as yet regarding the drivers' standings, as the drivers fight for the points in every race and the decisive top 3 is very close.

Rotax Micro MAX
Providing stable performance and being fastest in each session, Qualification, Heat 1, Pre-Final and Final, the first-placed driver in the Micro MAX class was Lithuania’s Patrikas Jocius (#25).
2nd place - SM Racing representative Juris Pluksna (#63)
3rd place - Lithuanian driver Tauras Zimnickas (#88)

Rotax Mini MAX
It was another great Lithuanian result in the Mini MAX class by Majus Mazinas (#177), also dominant in Qualifying, Heat 1, Pre-Final and the Final.
2nd place - Team SM Racing driver Timurs Pecerica (#141)
3rd place - Adrians Tions (#171), MRG Racing Team

Rotax Junior MAX
The winner in this class was Rolands Sprude (#299), AJAGS Latvia Team, who is also the FIA Karting Academy Trophy representative.
2nd place - another well-known junior driver from SM RACING Team Toms Strele (#238)
3rd place - a very exciting race for Ralfs Stamers (#262) who earned his first podium win this season 

Rotax Senior MAX
Beautiful, stable performance from Gustavs Usakovs (#389), who was having his first experience in RMC Latvia race. He led the group throughout the Quali, Pre Final and Final. 
2nd place - his teammate from MRG RACING Artjoms Sestakovs (#357) 
3rd place - SM RACING driver Arturs Danilevskis (#354) taking his maiden podium for this season

Rotax DD2
1st place - BirelArt BALTICS representative, Estonian Ragnar Veerus (#491)
2nd place - excellent perfomrance by Martins Janovskis (#422), MRG RACING team
3rd place - Tomass Birstins (#411)

Rotax DD2 Masters
In the fierce fight with the second-placed driver, still, Martynas Tankevicius (#533) of the LENKTYNIU LINIJA team was too strong to take victory in every single race on Friday and Saturday. 
2nd place - Henrijs Grube (#517), RM LATVIA team 
3rd place - Lithuanian entry Mykolas Mazinas (#575), AUTEKS RACING team

The next big event on the local calendar is on July 21st and 22nd, when the Rotax Nordic Challenge (Round 2) and Rotax Max Challenge Latvia (Round 4) is held at the 333 Baltic Circuit, Ropazi, Latvia.
