Close racing in the Bulgaria Championship at Vratsa circuit

- Races
Last weekend at the completely renewed Vratsa karting track, the second round of the National Championship of Bulgaria took place, of which the RMC Bulgaria is part of the program. The preparation had been done and the wait was finally over to go racing!

Waiting for bad weather and rain, the nature under the centuries-old rocks surprised us with high temperatures and hot sun; typical of the region. This track is hosting two rounds of the championship for the second consecutive year. In all, 30 participants joined us in four Rotax categories at Vratsa – Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX and Senior MAX.

With a tight battle in all classes, Max-Daniel Kostov was uncompromising in the Micro MAX category with number 23. Undoubtedly the driver to beat in the Mini MAX category was Stefan Stefanovski, although in the final classification he took second place behind Kaloyan Gyoshev racing in the number 10 kart. Radoslav Vodenicharov, who drove a Rotax Max engine for the first year in the Junior MAX class with number 88, had the greatest progress in P2, while fastest qualifier Peter Shingov in kart number 9 had unmatched success to take the victory. In the Senior MAX category, the expected first place was taken by last year's champion Sami Ivanov with number 369, who will measure his skills and strength at the upcoming RMCIT event in France this July.

Vratsa karting track again plays host to the next competition to be held on 24-25 June, 2023. The Bulgarian Championship has five rounds, including one over the border in Greece, leading up to the Finals in October as the sixth event, before the Balkan Cup two weeks later.
