Turney (OK) and Ramaekers (OKJ), both on KR/Iame, win the first final of the Fia European Karting Championship in Valencia

Joe Turney (KR/Iame) wins the first final of the Fia Karting European Championship in Valencia, ahead of Przyrowski and Lammers. Gomez (CRG/Iame), who had dominated far and wide during the weekend, has to settle for fourth place, which allows him to lead the overall standings with 69 points.

In Junior, Ramaekers (KR/Iame) asserts himself and takes a well-deserved victory. Far behind, Bondarev and Wherrell. The poleman Kaczynski was caught up in a tussle, ending the final in tenth place.

The championship is wide open, and from what was seen in Valencia the next stages are expected to be just as exciting, starting with the one on April 16 in Trinec, Czech Republic.
