RMC Grand Finals Portimão 2022. Bradshaw wins by forfeit in Senior

- Races
The finals held, the Rotax movement is about to celebrate the event’s epilogue with the awarding of trophies. The British contingent confirms being the best by winning three categories. The Swedes excelled in the two electric-powered categories. An Italian returns to the podium.

The finals provided some exciting moments. Especially in the initial stages, there was no lack of close, tight-knit battles, and the victories stemmed from the skill of the drivers who were best able to extricate themselves from the group. Plenty of duels, as in the Senior where the British dominated, and Kai Hunter who prevailed on the track.

At the end of the race, however, after taking into account the penalties (Hunter for contact with Bradshaw and Butcher for the out-of-place bumper), the former OK World Champion on this same track in 2020, Callum Bradshaw, was proclaimed the winner.

In addition to the Senior, however, the final that involved us the most was undoubtedly DD2 with Claudio Pagliarani, the protagonist of an amazing comeback from mid-field to finish in third place. Finally, an Italian is back on the podium at the Rotax Grand Finals. Victory went to Latvian Kristaps Gasparovics, who after half the race, having survived the initial tussle, found himself leading alone, up front; so, too, Frenchman Paul Louveau in P2. The Micro and Mini categories were once again hard-fought and, in the end, the Portuguese Carlos Marques (Micro), and Lebanese Christopher El Feghali (Mini) won in their respective categories. Bravo also to Englishman Scott Marsh, ahead of the fierce competition, and winning the coveted trophy in the Junior. In DD2, Mark Kimber confirmed his third victory in the Finals in three different categories (already Junior and Senior Champion).
