200-plus race entries at Genk for RMC Euro Golden Trophy

- Races
The Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Golden Trophy is shaping up to be a super weekend of competition at Karting Genk – ‘Home of Champions’ in Belgium on November 4th to 6th where the grids are literally bursting with talent. It has proven to be a favourite for many teams and drivers to participate as the season winds down before the European winter. It is also the last chance to win the remaining tickets for the RMC Grand Finals in several classes.

The international line-up will see competitors travelling from nearly 30 nations to the circuit in the Limburg region, well-known as one of the top karting venues. The entry list is impressive in the five Rotax categories on the program, including many drivers who have already won multiple titles this year. The Senior MAX class heads the numbers on track with around 70 in the field and defending title-holder Rhys Hunter is one of them. Mini MAX has hit 50 youngsters having a shot at taking home the ticket; RMCGF 2021 Micro MAX champion Nikita Ljubimov makes his return to the event in preparation to race the best in Portimao, along with the RMC Euro Mini champ Boaz Maximov, who won the last Golden Trophy against him. Junior MAX comes in just under this, where the former Mini MAX class champion at Genk, Mateja Radenkovic, is back to contest a new title with some strong competition. The Rotax DD2 grid includes some of the superstars on the scene; notably the Rotax World #1 Martijn van Leeuwen and another champion from Bahrain in Senior MAX, Mark Kimber. Meanwhile, the DD2 Masters category has shown a majority count of seasoned German drivers.

Not only is the racing expected to be spectacular, but so too are the final battles for the great prizes when the lights go out on Sunday. In addition to the RMCGF 2022 tickets in the Rotax Mini MAX, Junior MAX and DD2 class for the major highlight event taking place in Portugal later this month, there are free entries for the full season and selected races being awarded for the RMC Euro Trophy and BNL Karting Series in 2023 as well. This is definitely going to be an exciting weekend to watch!
